Reyna is currently a Junior at the University of Texas, Austin, where she’s studying Radio-Television-Film with a minor in Arts Management and Administration. She’s drawn to the intersection of film, media, and community, and is passionate about creating content that connects, informs, and sparks conversations among audiences.
Reyna’s love for storytelling goes back as far as she can remember. What started as a curiosity about photography and videography, soon became a way for her to view and share the world around her. Whether she’s capturing spontaneous moments, or working on bigger projects, her creativity is always in motion. With a personality that’s as lively as her work, Reyna brings her spunkiness and enthusiasm to everything she does. She’s known for her upbeat approach, her drive to push boundaries, and her ability to make things happen.
What truly excites Reyna is documentary filmmaking and video journalism. She finds meaning in uncovering stories that aren’t always seen or heard, and she feels drawn to amplify voices that are overlooked. She believes in the power of storytelling to create change, provoke thought, and encourage empathy. Through her work, she wants to capture the complexity of real-life experiences—those subtle, often untold moments that speak volumes about who we are as people and communities.
Reyna is constantly experimenting with new techniques and pushing her creative limits, always looking for ways to connect with people authentically. With an ever-expanding vision, Reyna is excited about where her passion for filmmaking, journalism, and visual arts will take her next. She is always in search of new experiences that will allow her to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
